Funny Evening Fell Flat

Tonight Bobby and I went with some friends to the Improv Comedy Club to see Pablo Francisco. Brian (one of the friends we went with) has always raved about this guy. Brian cracks me up when he does renditions of this comedian’s routines. We all thought it would be great to see him live. We were wrong……dead wrong! Pablo Francisco was a raving lunatic who had only one or two mildly humorous jokes. A real dud. The two opening acts were better than he was. Overall I was unimpressed with the comedians and the Improv. Luckily, the night also had good food, good friends, and good conversation. So it ended up being an enjoyable evening.

I haven’t been very productive since I got home. But it is Friday night so I guess it is okay I am lazy. Chatted with friends, watched tv, surfed the web. I found out that one of my new favorite artists has a weblog. His name is Casey Stratton and he is an amazing singer/songwriter. Very much in the vein of Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan. My kind of music. You can check him out at caseystratton.com. Reading the weblog, I learned that Junior Vasquez has done remixes of two of his songs. They should be available on iTunes this month along with some unreleased b-sides. I can’t wait!!

Speaking of blogs, I’ve seen that some blogs have fields for “Current Mood” and “Current Music”. I’ll have to see if MovableType has a plugin for that. I’d love to have “Current Music”. For now, I’ll do it the old fashioned way.

Current Mood: Tired, restless
Current Music: Sarah McLachlan - Afterglow

I think it’s primarily LiveJournal blogs that have Current Mood/Current Music. But I like the feature too.

I agree. My portrayal of a hispanic female in a gang brawl while shouldering her offspring is quite humourous! IMHO
