The Boys Are Back In Town

Bobby and I are back from Vegas. We went there on Monday to celebrate my younger sister’s 21st birthday. Two of my aunts and my parents also went. The trip was a lot of fun, but also very tiring. We walked up and down the strip checking out all the casinos. That was the tiring part. The fun part was spending time with the family. One thing I love about my family is it is always full of laughter. This trip was no different. Kara (the sister turing 21) had a great time which was good since the trip was for her. Now we just need to take my younger brother when he turns 21.
Bobby and I saw the new Cirque Du Soliel show called “Zumanity”. It was an excellent show! Lots of acrobatics, dancing, singing, and hot bodies. And it was inclusive of all sexualties. There was a scene with two contortionists in a bowl of water (sounds weird, but was cool) and they were meant to be a lesbian couple. There was also a beautiful dance sequence between two men. To me it represented the evolution of a relationship. And at the end of the show, during the revolving “orgy” (as they called it) there were multiple gay couples on stage. It was good to see that in such a mainstream show. I highly recommend the show if you go to Vegas. Well worth the money.
Now I’m preparing the house for visitors. My friend Stephanie, whom I have known since 8th grade, is moving to a small town outside of Boston. She and her husband are driving from California (where they used to live) across country and are stopping in Dallas on the way. It will be great to see her! I haven’t seen her in 2 years. She has always been one of my closest friends. We even dated for a couple of years (my one try at heterosexualtiy - not for me). This will also be the first time she has seen the house so I must make sure it is perfect.
Okay, I am off to clean….
