Two More Days…
August 26th, 2004 by Ian
Two more days until the weekend (including today). I am ready for it to get here. Work has been a bore this week. I was meant to be working on a proof of concept for our new project, but the powers-that-be decided that really was not needed. Instead, we will blindly plow ahead. Such great planning. So now I’m left in limbo with no real work to do. Instead I am doing odds and ends for other people. Very boring! I got a new assignment this morning that looks like it could be interesting. The problem is that I don’t know exactly what the assignment entails. Here is the instruction I was given, verbatim: “Deliverable of this task is to produce a document that needs to include TM configuration setup that required and any details that needed to reproduces in any other environment and test results.” Can you make sense of that? Gotta love tech leads.
In other news, we had a new friend over for dinner last night. We had a really nice time. We met Jai through Bobby’s blog. Turns out Bobby and Jai share an interest in gaming. So we had him over for dinner and a round of Munchkin. It was a great evening. Hopefully we’ll get to see more of him in the future - really nice guy. I know Bobby is happy to have met another gay gamer. I’ve just never gotten into it. I’ll leave that has his hobby!
Ah, almost time for cake. We’re having a birthday celebration for a couple of people on my team. No better time for cake than 10 in the morning ![]()

cmusic=None. I left the iPod at home by mistake. So lonely without my tunes.
