Spam Free (For Now)

A week ago I made some changes to my movabletype setup to deter spam comments. It seems to have worked…..for now at least. I haven’t received a spam comment since I made my changes. I decided to take the risk and turn comment moderation off. Now your comments will be posted immediately after you enter them. They no longer have to go through the approval process and thus bypass the bottleneck (ie me). If anyone out there is running movabletype, shoot me an email and I can tell you what I did.

    Of course it works. I’m not a completely incompetent sys admin - just slightly :)

    I still haven’t received a single piece of spam comments since my changes. Makes me happy!
