Sex Buys Happiness
March 22nd, 2005 by Ian
I know many of us have thought so. Well, now there is a study that proves it.
Sex, not money, buys happiness, study says
Basically, the study says that increasing the frequency of sex in a relationship, from once a month to once a week, will bring a person as much happiness as a $50,000/year raise. It is interesting to see your sex life boiled down to monetary amounts. Well, I guess if you are a prostitute you are used to that. But for me, it was interesting.
I think the quote at the end summed it up best.
“I think it is very good for driven Americans, who are taught that material things will buy them happiness, to pause and reconsider, because it’s the richness of relationships that makes us happy”
I’ve always thought so. Whether it be relationships with your spouse, family, or friends.
That was a really nice thought at the end of your post - but I’m going to go to the gutter anyway:
I think I’m going to give James a $100,000/year raise.
Hey, now we can afford a staff! Applications will be available online soon.
Shouldn’t I be like the happiest person in the world then?
