Voodoo Brew

Sipping some voodoo brew with the boys. It is about 9/10 rum and 1/10 pink lemonade. It’s goooooood :)

So what did we do yesterday. My previous entry recapped the morning. After we were all showered and ready, we hit the streets. Spent the day strolling streets, drinking at Pat O’Brian’s, and gorging on great cajun food. The thing that made it so wonderful was the people. You can never have a bad time when you are with great friends!

We spent the evening on the balcony at Good Friends. Our bartender Steve was there to greet our return. He makes a fabulous drink called Tokyo Tea - basically a long island iced tea with midori instead of soda. Very nice! We chatted, gossipped, and laughed at the various drunks (which there were plenty of…..right James?) I was in bed by 1:30, but Bobby, Brian, and Layton were out Layton. Layton wanted to take a stroll on the wrong side of Bourbon (ie the straight side). I hear they had a great time looking for proper cleavage.

Today was a slow morning. We got started late. Headed over to Clover Grill to a grease soaked breakfast that was delicious. Met up with Layton after his special shopping spree. We deciced to head over to the river and visit the aquarium. I have to say that it was impressive. Lots of exhibits and things to see…..sharks, otters, penguins, leafy seed dragons, angel fish, frogs, and I can’t remember what else. Afterwards, Bobby, Chris, and I caught the 3D Shark movie at Imax. Interesting, but not great. The 3d effects were amazing but I don’t think they used them well. They should have had a scene with the shark jumping out at you. Unfortunately, it was much more tame. I guess kid friendly.

So now were in the room enjoying the AC….sipping our voodoo brew. Probably hit the pool soon…..or not. We shall see.

Well it certainly sounds like you are making good use of your time. I should try to get down there soon.
