Extraordinary Ways

Last night I was lucky enough to stumble across the new Conjure One album on iTunes. I first discovered the group Conjure One in a Virgin Megastore in Washington, D.C. about 3 or 4 years ago. I would describe them as ambient electronica trance. Their debut album was amazing! It has been a staple in my music collection since getting it. “Tears from the Moon” and “Center of the Sun” were two of my favorite songs from the cd. Each had beautiful guest voclas - one from Poe and the other from Sinead O’Connor. Beautiful voices over gorgeous music.

Conjure One isn’t really a group as it is a single man (dont’ know his name) who does all the production/editing/mixing/composition/etc. He works with guest vocalists to bring his work to life. If you like Chicane or Delerium then you will like Conjure One. In fact, the guy who is Conjure One is one of the duo behind Delerium.

The new album titled “Extraordinary Ways” is a rush of euphoria for me. I’m on track 5 and I’m alredy raving mad for it. “Pilgrimage” took my breath away. I had to stop work so I could concentrate on the music. “Endless Dream” brings back Poe has a guest vocalist. Once again her vocals blend beautifully with the arrangements. There is another female vocalist who I recognize, but I cannot identify her voice. I’ll have to do some research to find out.

Well, I’m in heaven right now listening to this! Okay, maybe it is purgatory. Heavenly because of the music, hell because of the location - work. Speaking of which, something else has broken…
