Wandering Road

I bought Madonna’s new album “Confessions on a Dancefloor”. I’m currently listenig through it. I’ll hold off on posting my thoughts until after I’ve listened to it a few times. So far, I can safely say that it does not live up to the hype. But that was some pretty big hpye!

I will suggest that you go and listen to “Heartbeats” by Jose Gonzalez. Amazing song! I’d describe it as a modern day Simon and Garfunkel song. The guitar part is beautiful. I could just listen to that piece alone on repeat. I know you can listen to it on iTunes so go check it out. Thanks to Layton for pointing out this great song.

I also recently got Cyndi Lauper’s new acoustic version of “Time After Time”. It is off her new album “The Body Acoustic”. The wonderful thing about this version is that it is a duet with Sarah McLachlan. Two of my favorite singers together on one great song. You must hear it! Also available on the album are two other great duets - Cyndi and Sarah duet on “Water’s Edge” and the duet between Cyndi and Ani Difranco on “Sister’s of Avalon”. I didn’t buy the whole album. Only the songs that had other artists I loved
