Unexpected Euphoria
January 19th, 2006 by Ian
I am in such a great mood this morning!! I don’t know why. I’m just happy that I am. I’m just sitting at work going through my email (which is massive this morning) and enjoying my small breakfast (bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a coffee). The bagel is reminding me of Key West. Last time we were there we would have bagels with cream cheese and jelly in the morning with our coffee. I remember sitting on the porch with our friends, slowly waking up, just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Maybe go take a dip in the pool or perhaps collapse on a lounge chair and read a book. Ah, I can’t wait until June!
So back to my unexpected euphoria. I am at work so I expect my mood to be ruined at any moment. Things have been wild here the past few weeks. Everything crashes all at once and it happens to be at the same time the business is in freak out mode. So everybody is running around like made trying to get it everything working. This is what happens when testing is put off until the last minute.
But I’m still in a wonderful mood so I am going to enjoy. I think I’ll run down to the car and grab my iPod. I’ve just been talking with a coworker about the joys of Queen. I have a hankering to hear “Radio Ga-Ga” now.
Caught a typo — “like made” instead of “like mad”. Just thought you’d want to know
That’s the Bitch English Teacher for you! Hope your mood persisted; the bagels sounded great but Queen?!?!? Simon is crazy for Queen, but I say Bjork’s better (that’s who I’ve been tuning into exclusively of late…). Anyway that’s my 2 cents. Love ya!!!
Sorry that your Friday didn’t turn out as you’d expected
You know, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks about Key West every now and again.
