Destroy IE

I stumbled across a great site today called Kill Bill’s Broswer. It is all about switching from IE to Firefox. Kind of funny!. And I like their tribute to the Kill Bill movie.

Apparently, this site is just an offshoot of a larger movement to destroy IE. They call the movement Explorer Destroyer. Turns out that Google will pay you $1 for each person you get to download Firefox with Google toolbar. Google’s effort to promote their toolbar. The ingenius people at Explorer Destroyer have twisted this a little bit to say that Google will pay you $1 to get people to switch to Firefox. They have even created scripts for you to use on your website. They have different levels of “suggesting” to your site visitors that they should switch. It goes from a simple banner at the top of your page to a completing blocking out anyone who isn’t using Firefox. Very smart plan. Let’s hope it catches on.

Explorer Destroyer

Personally, I use Firefox exclusively. I don’t know why people would still use IE. It is now the browser of the past. IE 7 is playing catch up with Firefox. They are just now introducing tabbed browsing. I love when Microsoft talks about it - they make it seem like they invented tabbed browsing. Of course, even with added features, IE will still be bug ridden. Look at all the news reports about their beta testing.

So, if you haven’t made the switch it, do it now. Go download Firefox and join the revolution :)

That site is hysterical! Thanks for sharing. Although I use Firefox exclusively at home, I am compelled to use IE at work. Somebody actually believes that using a different browser would void the warranty! lol Anyway, if you visit the site using IE, you get an interesting message.
